Yes. Choose the student experience, set your home airfield, and agree your personal weather limits with your instructor. You can open a briefing without planning a flight first.
Threshold can show a nearby reporting station and identifies where the information comes from. Conditions at that station may differ from your airfield. Missing information is shown as missing.
No. Threshold helps you review available weather against your personal limits. It does not make a safety decision or replace your instructor, your judgement, or a full preflight briefing. Route weather, route daylight and notices are not checked.
